    摘要:目的 檢測色氨酰-tRNA合成酶抑制劑W-23對葡萄球菌的抗菌活性。方法 采用肉湯稀釋方法檢測W-23對葡萄球菌、大腸桿菌的最低抑菌濃度MIC,并檢測其與氨芐青霉素或氯霉素聯用對表皮葡萄球菌的聯合抗菌效果。結果 化合物W-23對表皮葡萄球菌和金黃色葡萄球菌的MIC為2-4微克/毫升,抗菌類型屬于抑菌劑,與氨芐青霉素聯用對耐甲氧西林表皮葡萄球菌具有協同抗菌作用。結論 W-23對葡萄球菌具有較強的抗菌活性,具有潛在應用價值。

    Antibacterial activity of a new inhibitor of Staphylococcus epidermidis tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase

    Abstract: Objective: Investigate the antibacterial activity of W23, a new inhibitor of Staphylococcus epidermidis tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase. Methods: Determine the Minimal Inhibitory Concentration of W-23 to Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli; detect the effect of W-23 in combination with Ampicillin or Chloramphenicol on S. epidermidis growth. Results: The MIC of W-23 to Staphylococcus species is about 2-4 μg/ml.  W-23 is a bacteristatic agent. Combination of W-23 and ampicillin has synergistic effect on growth of methicillin-resistent Staphylococcus epidermidis. Conclusion: W-23 has potent antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus and has a potential value in new drug development.
